My work has been described as fun and exciting with a fine art quality. I combine traditional and lifestyle photography along with portraiture to capture genuine images for you to treasure for a lifetime. Imagine yourself as fine art. As your photographer, I will provide a generous gallery of images that can be shared on social media, displayed in your home as pieces of art, or archived in a custom album to be treasured for generations. These photographs will be an investment in your family history. Images from your session often tell a story, capturing a treasured moment in time. I do not try to make you look perfect, stiff, or unnatural.

Seniors typically have photos taken the summer before their senior year until the end of their senior year. The season that is best depends on you and your style. I always tell seniors that their favorite season of the year is a great time for a senior photo session. So if you love fall colors, sweaters and boots, then fall is perfect for you. If you prefer sundresses, spring weather and green grass, the spring works best for you.

I typically book up 6 months or more in advance, so I highly recommend booking your session as soon as possible. The earlier you book, the more date options there will be in the season you prefer. My policy is...it’s never too early to book your senior session!

I am an on location photographer. The location of your shoot can be downtown, a country town, an open field, the beach, or it can be any number of locations specific to you. Just let me know which type of location you prefer and I will take care of the rest. And, if a destination shoot is something you want, let me know and we will start planning our trip!!!

Senior photo sessions vary in duration based on the number of locations, number of props, and complexity of the shots. Generally, the sessions last up to 3 hours.

I accept all major credit cards, PayPal, Venmo, cash, and check. The $200 non-refundable retainer is due at the time of booking, the remaining session fee is due the day of the session, and payment for prints, products, or digital orders is due during the Image Premier Session.

This is a super popular question and I have created a Senior Style Guide to help all clients with this. You will receive your guide by email after booking your session. The key things to remember are variety (in color, style, etc.), dressing for your specific style not what is trendy or what a friend wore, and make sure everything fits properly. And, wardrobe consultations are always free with JM Peters Photography clients!
